Suncatchers are crocheted into a brass circle. I use #10 bedspread weight cotton for the 9 inch and DMC #8 Crochet Thread for the 5 inch. I buy most of my crochet thread at http://www.herrschners.com. You can follow the link below, click on crochet thread brand and/or size to see the colors that are available in the different brands. Most of the time I use either JP Coats, Grandma's Best or Lily #10 threads. DMC #8 is available in 233 different colors and Herrschner's has a color list on their website also. Send me an email with your color preference. If I don't have your particular color on hand, it may take a little longer to ship your order, because I would have to wait for the thread to be shipped to me.
